About

Dave Lee I’m a writer and film-maker with over 20 years experience in TV & video production. Currently I’m writing for several publications, some online, others in good old-fashioned print. I make films as often as possible and I’m a gun for hire if anyone needs an experienced scriptwriter, director, cameraman or editor. Over the years I’ve been involved with pretty much every type of  TV and video production – I’ve directed TV ads, multi-camera TV sports programmes, hundreds of corporate promos and plenty of travel, health, tourism and training films. There are links to samples of my work on this site. Currently I write pub and restaurant reviews and travel pieces for the Yorkshire Post, various articles for The Dalesman and Yorkshire Ridings, pieces of every hue for Sabotage Times and parenting tips for Daddy Be Good. I also edit and maintain this blog for Visit Hull & East Yorkshire. My latest short film ‘Bridge For The Living’ (featuring Sir Tom Courtenay) is touring film festivals. In terms of my software skills, I can use any video editing software (including Avid and Final Cut Pro), I’m proficient with Microsoft Office and Photoshop and I’m pretty handy with all of Adobe CS. I use several content management system, including Joomla and Movable Type and I can edit and build sites in WordPress. Busy I may be, but I’m always looking for more work and contacts. Please get in touch if you think I can be of any use to you.
